Utility Coordination

A multi-lot program rarely stays inside one utility territory. Seattle lots interconnect with Seattle City Light, Bellevue/Kirkland/Redmond/Bothell/Issaquah lots run through Puget Sound Energy, and Snohomish County lots fall under Snohomish County PUD, each with its own application, review timeline, and net metering rules. We track all three so you don’t have to manage three separate utility relationships across one program.
Seattle City Light
Online interconnection application with one-line/riser diagrams, equipment specs, and a site plan; net metering credits at retail rate on systems up to 100 kW AC.
Puget Sound Energy
Customer Connected Solar portal application, followed by a written Approval to Construct before installation begins on each home.
Snohomish County PUD
Interconnection Application plus a signed Net Metering Agreement, with roughly a two-week PUD review before Permission to Operate.

What counts as a “program” instead of a one-off system?+
Any time you have more than one spec or custom home going up on similar roof plans, whether that’s a handful of infill lots or a full plat. We design the solar spec once, then repeat it lot to lot instead of re-quoting and re-engineering every home individually.
Do you coordinate PSE, Seattle City Light, and SnoPUD within the same program?+
Yes. If your lots span more than one utility territory, we file the correct interconnection application for each, whether that’s Seattle City Light, PSE, or Snohomish County PUD, and track each utility’s own review timeline and net metering rules as part of the program schedule.
Does the price change from lot to lot?+
Not for lots that match the program spec. We price the standardized system once and hold that price, so you can plan your per-home cost basis up front instead of negotiating a new number every time a lot closes.

What do you need from us to start a program quote?+
